The Day when I met HIM.
After meeting this guy, I realised he is "The One" for me! I might be wrong about him but I wanna try out with him...
Friday 27/10/06
I met him. Finally. After a week of phone calls and SMS, we scheduled a date and time to meet up at his office. Natt is his name. I have only seen his photos on Friendster and he wasn't the best looking guy on world. However, the moment I saw him, I was pleasantly surprised.
We introduced ourselves and he showed me the classrooms hastily. Out of nowhere, he told me there is a gym beside his office and if I wanna take a look. We went into the gym and he explained to me what exercises are available there.
S: Aren't you supposed to introduce me to the course so why the gym now?
N: *Embarrassed + Helpless*
By the way, what appeared to be ridiculous to me is that the gym is only accessible to hotel guest and corporate staff. Then why on earth does he wanna bring me in there? LoLz.
He promised me coffee to discuss over the educational matters. I wanted to test him so I suggested that we could discuss things over at his office if he is busy but he insisted on keeping his promise so I gave in. We took a short stroll to PS Starbucks. During our journey, there is a pebbles pavement and I actually wanted to walk! He gently reminded me about me wearing heels: "I don't think you wanna walk here..." and gave way to me. I was impressed by his sensitivity.
He didn't drink coffee but some fruit freeze. The most interesting part about the introduction of the course is he doesn't know how to begin? I had to do some initiating of a Q&a session with him. The material he gave me - one miserable brochure on the course. He deliberately went into office just to take a booklet? I seriously can't believe he is actually selling this course to me as a sales person.
We went through the university's background brieftly and discussed the better Australia universities to study part-time degree. He listed out all the potential universities for me an din addition, he wrote down the prices beside them 'just for fun'. After that, he proclaimed that why is he introducing competitor's companies and should have brought down more materials for me. What a contradicting action! In the first place he doen't even have a pen to write. He borrowed mine.
When we ended, he informed me about the career fair @ Suntec on this weekend (Sat & Sun) and asked if I am attending. I told him I can't confirm my attendance and he has not much response. We shook hands and when I went home, I msged him that I will be going for the fair.
N: Great! See ya there :-)
Saturday 28/10/06
I went to career fair @ Suntec with Yat Ting and saw him serving a lady so we walked off. He gave me an acknowledging look. We wanted to go by his booth to say hi to him. However the 2nd time, we were intercepted by a lady to do some personality survey. He saw me. He actually walked towards me. I was taken aback by his movement.
There he was, standing right infront of me - so tall, so clean and so real. We didn't manage to talk much due to wrong time and place. He left when the lady came to collect the forms from us.
Yat Ting told me she kinda feel that he is shy. I think alike too.
After we left, I msged him,
S: We go off 1st and enjoy your weekend =)
N: Alrighty, see ya soon! So he wanna see me again?
By the way, I felt that he gave me all his attention at Starbucks or even at the fair as in he didn't focus on anyone esle but me, not even my friend. I like him.
Tuesday 31/10/06
I msged him if he is free to meet up for dinner today but UNFORTUATLEY he has late duty meaning that he will end at 10pm. He suggested that that I drop by his office. I was reluctant because I can only chat with him on 'educational' matters and for a short while. If I waited till off-work, I can't come up with a valid reason either. I was in a dilemma.
Luckily, he called in,
N: I was supposed to meet you today right but sorry I can't because I got to leave early for an appointment. Tomorrow, I have to leave early too because of my MBA assignment which is dued but uncompleted. I have to do with my course mates... I will ask my boss on my duty schedule to see when I will be free.
I like this statement: I was supposed to meet you today as it should be the reverse order.
Conclusion: He appeared keen to meet me irregardless of his main intention - to clinch sales or just friends. He also gave me a feeling of wanting to meet me in his free time instead of rushing through details. He was not very sales-orientated as he could have asked one of his colleagues to handle me since he was so busy.
